Every Tuesday, TBR likes to spotlight an individual or group whose blatant hypocrisy in the face of facts warrants recognition. The winner receives the TBR “Hyppie” award for hypocrisy.

If you’ve watched any of the major political shows over the past fifteen years or so, the chances are more likely than not that you’ve seen the empty, smiling face of Jack Kingston, Republican Congressman from Georgia. Kingston has always been good with providing whatever t

A few days ago I read about a young man in Bristol, Tennessee who killed his ex-girlfriend’s current boyfriend, her mother, two of his ex-girlfriend’s neighbors, and was reloading when his ex-girlfriend locked him out in the hallway. Then he went to a wooded area – where he shot and killed himself. A Bristol Police spokesman told the press “We are looking into the possibility of him being distraught.”

I've been griping for some time now how the media influences our thoughts and perceptions specifically regarding our political candidates. Or rather they try to influence us. People listen to their views and in many cases actually believe what they are hearing as the gospel truth. Some manage to speak about the politicians and their views as just that. You wouldn't know by their words with whom their true feelings lie...and that i

Surely as there is a sun rise tomorrow, the United States has once again blow off something they swore to uphold. This time around its the United Nations CONVENTION ON ELIMINATION OF all forms OF RACIAL DISCRIMINATION.

In 1994, the US Senate ratified this treaty, wherein they promised to “provide reports every two years on racial discrimination in the United States. The reports were to include anywhere in the world where the US military is in charge. In other

I know that we Democrats are famous for episodes of internal cannibalization - where we allow internal squabbles over nuance to weaken a superior policy stance to an inferior but united opposition. I also know that in a political sense, this has been one of the more tranquil primary processes
